Progress reports go home today! Parents be sure to keep an eye out for them. Thanksgiving holidays are only 2 days away!!

8th Grade Math Classes

2nd Period
Make up your own test for Section 1-5 of Chapter 4 (with 4 questions from each section for a total of 20 questions)

5th Period
Your 4-5 enrichment worksheet (Fraction Puzzle) is due Friday.

Chapter 3 Study Guide - DUE TUESDAY!!

What does distributive mean?

Is 2 ( x + 3 ) and 2 x + 3 the same thing? Why or why not?

What does constant mean in everyday language? In Math?

What are the like terms in 5 x + 3 + 2 x?

How many x’s are in 3 x + 4 + x?

How do you move a number or variable to the other side of an equal sign?

What would you move first in 5x – 3 = 2?

Write 5 words for add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Write an equation: four less than twice a number is –2.

Use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast: formula/recipe and perimeter/area.
